Mercure Hotel Treasury Gardens

The project was completed over a 3 month period which involved the total refurbishment of all 164 guest room and corridors. The internal layout of each room was adjusted and each of the bathrooms was reconfigured maximise the use of space that was available.
Starting from the top, each of the 11 guest floors was shut down for 2 weeks while the entire floor was stripped out and each room was rewired to suit the new layout. The tight time frame made it a challenge especially since the walls were all solid brick and noisy works could only be completed between 10am-4pm.
It was a stressful period with some long days but all floors were completed on time, with minimal defects to the builders and client’s satisfaction.
